Woman Dancer

The whole of southern France traditionally dances the farandole.
The farandole is accompanied in Provence by the galoubet (flute) and tambourines.
All the dancing santons join hands to form an open chain and mark each beat by hopping.
The leader of this farandole guides the chain by drawing a snake shape. His or her role is to articulate the farandole.

The adult santons measure around 8 to 9 cm and all the animals and accessories are the same size.
They are just like us, some bigger, some smaller, some fatter, some thinner!
They are therefore compatible with other collections of 8 / 9 cm santons.

All our santons are made by hand in our workshops in Provence, in the traditional way, in clay and painted by hand.
