Jesus in straw

The christmas crib is organised around the Jesus figure.
According to some traditions, it is necessary to wait until the night
of 24-25 December to place him between Joseph and Mary.
The child Jesus will be placed in the middle of the nativity scene
as in all the Christmas cots with his mother, the Virgin Mary,
his father Joseph and in the background the donkey and the ox who warm him by their breath.

The adult santons measure around 7 cm or 8 to 9 cm and all the animals and accessories are of a compatible size.
They’re just like us, some bigger, some smaller, some fatter, some thinner!
They are therefore compatible with other collections of 8 / 9 cm santons.
